Built around 1920, the old Midwest Oil Refinery will soon be coming down in an effort to clean up the look of Laramie and downgrade a hazard to the river system. For many, many youth the naked cement walls have been an obvious haven to cut their teeth with tagging and just be kids. It is also a staple for photographers for whom industrial decrepitude holds an irrepressible draw. Though a healthier bit of flood plain has it's own beauty - The "Glass House" will be missed.
